South Fork Taps Eric Kresser to Lead Football Program

South Fork High School has turned to a proven winner in naming Eric Kresser as its new head football coach, bringing college, professional and successful high school experience to the Bulldogs’ sideline.

Kresser first made his mark as a record-setting quarterback at the University of Florida, where he threw for 458 yards and six touchdowns in a single game — one of the top performances in program history. He later transferred to Marshall University, helping lead the Thundering Herd to a Southern Conference championship and a Division I-AA national title.

His playing career included time with the Cincinnati Bengals and the Montreal Alouettes, experience that shaped the foundation of his coaching philosophy.

Most recently, Kresser spent more than a decade at The Benjamin School, posting a 45-28 record as head coach and guiding the program to deep playoff runs, including a regional final appearance.

With a résumé built on leadership, quarterback development and championship pedigree, Kresser arrives at South Fork poised to elevate the Bulldogs and restore a culture of consistent success.
